Recipe: Making gel from sea moss powder.
The powder is ready to use.
Take 25 grams of sea moss powder and put it in a pan.
Add 500 ml of water and soak for 30 minutes.
Bring to a boil while stirring occasionally, keep at a boil for 1 to 2 minutes.
Blend until a smooth gel forms.
For an extra vitamin boost, flavor and fragrance, you can add lemon juice/orange juice while blending.
Put it in a sealable jar and let it cool and put it in the refrigerator. It will then thicken a little more.
Just keep in mind, when you add moisture from something else you use less water.
Should you want a thicker gel, use more seaweed or less water.
Tip: See here how to use other types of seaweed. (a.o.Mastocarpus stellatus) you can make gel.
