Lithothamnium is a small calcareous algae harvested in the Atlantic Ocean. This alga is able to crystallize on its thallus mineral elements from the seawater such as calcium, magnesium, iron and trace elements. Lithothamnium is a 100% vegetable calcium and magnesium powder supplement.
Lithothamnium contains an average of 32% easily absorbable calcium. It is a collaboration of no less than 74 sea minerals, all in a bioactive or highly absorbable form. The main component consists of an easily absorbable form of calcium carbonate: its structure is very open, porous and very moisturizing. Due to this composition, the calcium is well absorbed in the body.
Due to the high content of calcium carbonate, lithothamnium is good for a normal acidity in the stomach and ensures a good acid-base balance. It can also be used during pregnancy.
This unique vegetable mineral source, which is also very well absorbed in the body, is rich in calcium and therefore good for the calcium balance and the maintenance of strong bones. Lithothamnium is a great vegetarian remedy for people with an increased need for calcium (growth, transition and seniors).
